New England Musicians Resource Fund offers financial relief grants averaging $1000.

Additionally, we partner with The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health and the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston to provide access to mental health and legal assistance to freelance musicians in New England.

To apply for these resources, complete the NEMRF grant application here. Referrals to The Brookline Center and the Arts & Business Council are made through a confidential referral.

NEMRF Talks - Fall 2025

Running a business as a freelance musician isn’t easy, but having the right tools and support can make all the difference. The New England Musicians Resource Fund (NEMRF) is proud to partner with the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston to bring two free lunchtime Zoom workshops to help freelance musicians protect their work, build strong contracts, and plan for the future of their creative legacy.

A&BC, along with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, refers applicants to a panel of volunteer attorneys who offer their services on a pro bono basis and paid attorneys who offer their services on a reduced fee basis.
