Welcome Hikaru Yonezaki, Violinist and Mitsuru Yonezaki, Violinist
Violinist Hikaru Yonezaki is passionately committed to connecting to the world around her through her “silky tone” (The Boston Globe), having already been heard in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. She has a strong affinity to chamber music repertoire and currently enjoys freelancing with various groups in Boston. She continues to be inspired by Masao Kawasaki and Hyo Kang, whom she studied with at The Juilliard School and the Yale School of Music.
Praised for her “elegant violin playing” and “tonal threads of pure gold,” violinist Mitsuru Yonezaki studies with Donald Weilerstein at the New England Conservatory upon graduating from The Juilliard School where she was mentored by Catherine Cho and Joseph Lin. As a Community Fellow at NEC, she has the privilege of sharing her music throughout the Greater Boston area to create personal connections through meaningful interactions. Mitsuru’s deep appreciation and passion for the arts – particularly ballet and figure skating – inspire her to explore storytelling through various mediums.
